~ Juan Klopper

Juan has authored a textbook on statistics and is an experienced data scientist and machine learning expert. 

For his work in the development of educational resources Juan was  recognised by the Open Education Consortiumas Educator of the Year in 2014.  

He has three successful courses on the world’s leading Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform, Coursera.  His course on Understanding Healthcare Statistics is ranked No.1 in its category on Class Central, the definitive repository on Open Courseware and has been ranked in the top 50 of all courses in the world for the last three years.  

In support of these three very successful examples, Juan has created four additional courses on the popular Udemy platform, training scientists and healthcare workers on a variety of statistical and mathematical software packages. In addition to this Juan has published more than 1,400 lectures on YouTube and most of his open-source code is available on the GitHub repository.

Juan has supported more than 50 masters and doctoral students in completing a variety of research projects and dissertations.
